Alan R. Gaugler

Alan R. Gaugler, 67 of Northampton, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown, PA. Born October 27, 1956 in Northampton, PA, he was the son of the late Robert F. Gaugler and the late Mamie L. (Kleppinger) Gaugler. He was the husband of Lorie E. (Mann) Gaugler with whom he shared 37 years of marriage this past March 22, 2023.

Alan was a 1974 graduate of Whitehall High School who was last employed in Shipping Logistics for Piramal Critical Care, Bethlehem, PA for 13 years until retiring in 2016. Alan was a long time member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Kreidersville, PA, where he was Keeper of the Eternal Candle and a youth choir assistant. Alan earned his Eagle Scout Award in 1974 when he was with Troop #53 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Coplay, PA. He was a life member of the Allen Twsp. Vol. Fire Co. and a member of the Lionel Collectors Club of America.

Surviving along with his wife Lorie are daughters, Jennifer L. Gaugler of Northampton, PA and Adrienne R. Gaugler and companion Anthony of Gloucester City, NJ, sister, Anita R. wife of John King of King George, VA. Family friend Sarah M. Borger and companion Eric of Northampton, PA, and best friend Bert Keichel of Northampton, PA. He was predeceased by brothers, Robert L. and Jeffrey R. Gaugler.

A Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday February 8, 2024 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church - Kreidersville, 1335 Old Carriage Road Northampton, PA. 18067 with the Rev. Gary L. Walbert officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday February 7, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067 and Thurs from 9:30 AM until time of service in the church. Private family interment will follow in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown, PA.
