Albana Gegvata

Albana Gegvata, 43 of Northampton, PA, died on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg Campus in Bethlehem, PA. Born November 29, 1977 in Puke, Albania, she was the daughter of Lek Gegvata and Bardhe (Sokoli) Gegvata.

Albana studied dentistry, and was was a dental technician before immigrating to the United States. She was very active in her home church in Albania, were she volunteered with the Sisters of Mother Theresa. Aunt Bana was very loved by Nick, Jon, Amelia, and Teresa. She enjoyed music, writing, painting, and long walks.

Albana is survived by her parents as well her siblings Ermira, wife of Greg Mazziotta of Allentown, PA, Francesca Gegvata of Northampton, PA and Eleonora wife of Peter Costello of Richboro, PA., Leonard Gegvata of Northampton, PA, nephews, Nicholas and Jonathan and nieces, Amelia and Teresa.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday May 24, 2021at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 2181 Washington Avenue Northampton, PA. 18067 with the Rev. Msgr. Thomas Koons officiating. Interment will follow in Assumption B.V.M. Cemetery, Northampton, PA. Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton, PA. has been entrusted with her arrangements.
