Albina M. Engle

Albina M. (Pinto) Engle , 84, of Mill Street, Bowmanstown, PA, died peacefully Tuesday morning, June 7, 2022, at her home.  She was the wife of the late Wayne F. Engle Sr. who passed in 2020.  Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Abel DeCunha and Maria Silva (Barros) Pinto.

Bina was a devoted mother and wife, and enjoyed spending time with family, nature, bowling, cards, games, learning and helping others.  Albina was employed at Shea's Hardware, Palmerton, and previously worked for Stemler's Hardware, Palmerton, in addition to helping her husband with his business. She was a life-long active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton.  She served as tax collector for Bowmanstown and spent many hours volunteering with the Bowmanstown-Parryville Lions Club.  She valued the right to vote and was active in the Democratic Party.

Survivors: Daughters, Christine A. wife of Jeffrey Borger of Bethlehem, Colleen E. wife of Dieter Agate of New Windsor, MD, and Kathryn M. wife of Hector Guillen of Southport, CT.  7 Grandchildren, Kayla, Nathaniel, Mitchel, Mary-Ailise (Allie), Joshua, Fran, and Maribelle.  2 Great-grandchildren, Abel, and Eden. Daughter-in-law, Doreen Engle of Saraland, AL.  Nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by son, Wayne F., Jr. (Buddy), her sisters, Arlene Smith (wife of Tony) and Maria Amorim (wife of Antonio), and beloved yellow lab, Ben.
