Alice E Green

Alice E. (Bowman) Green, 84, of Interchange Road, Lehighton, Franklin Township, Pennsylvania, died early Sunday morning, May 15, 2016, at St. Luke''s Hospital, Miners Memorial Campus, Coaldale, Schuylkill County. She was the wife of the late Nelson J. Green who passed in 1994. Born in Bowmanstown, she was a daughter of the late Malcolm C. and Carrie S. (Wehr) Bowman.

Alice was employed as a registered nurse by the Palmerton Hospital for 41 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bowmanstown. Alice was a 1950 graduate of the Palmerton High School, and a 1952 graduate of St. Luke''s Hospital School of Nursing, Fountain Hill. She was a volunteer for Palmerton Hospital Auxiliary, Bowmanstown Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary, and the Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary, Lehighton.

Survivors: Daughter, Debra A. wife of Lee Siglin, of Franklin Township. Sons, Steven F. and wife Jeanne of Owings, Maryland, Jason A. and wife Nanette of Bowmanstown. 5 Grandchildren, Erik, Jeff, Rebecca, Erika, and Samantha. 5 Great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Dale.

Services: 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2016, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 500 Ore Street, Bowmanstown, PA 18030. Call, 1:00 - 2:00 p.. Monday, in the Church. Interment will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Fireline Road, Bowmanstown. Arrangements are by the Campton Funeral Home, Palmerton, PA.
