Alice B. Gross

Alice B. Gross, 92 of Northampton, PA, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at ProMedica Nursing Home, Bethlehem, PA. Born February 20, 1930 in Rutherford, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Carl Bielke and the late Frances (Glock) Bielke-Mierisch and Step daughter to the late Emil Mierisch. She was the wife of the late Wallace J. Gross who passed away in 1978.

Alice was last employed by LaMar Mgmt. Inc.- Hampton House, Northampton, PA as the Secretary from 1988 to 1995, with several years of continued part time assistance. Alice served as a PA State certified Emergency Medical Technician from 1976 to 1981. She then became a Paramedic from 1981-1988. She was a member of the Northampton Emergency Squad from 1976 thru 1990, holding position of Training Officer, Secretary, and Vice President. She was also a former member of the Mutual Advanced Life Support Unit / Medic 75, where she held positions of Secretary, Vice President, and President. She was a member of the former Allen Township Ambulance Corp and held the position of Secretary. Alice was a CPR and E.M.T. Instructor and Evaluator for the American Heart Association. She was a long time member, former Vice President, and Membership Chairperson at Assumption B.V.M. Young at Heart Group, Member and past Secretary of the former Northampton Senior Ladies, Northampton Lioness Club where she was Vice President and President for many years.

Surviving are sons, Kevin Gross and wife Valerie of Northampton, PA, Barry Gross and wife Lisa of Walnutport, PA and Brian Gross and wife Nancy of New Tripoli, PA, daughter, Karen wife of Paul Slimmon of Breinigsville, PA. 9 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren. She was predeceased by son, Keith Gross in 1991, Granddaughter, Melissa Laub in 1979, and a Daughter-in-law, Linda Gross in 2011.

A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday March 31, 2022 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA, 18067.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wed. March 30, 2022. Interment will follow services in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown, PA.
