Alice M. Tiley

Alice M. Tiley , 80 of Parryville / Palmerton, PA. passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, surrounded by loving family, at Mountain City Nursing & Rehab. Center in Hazleton, PA. Born August 27, 1943 in Orwigsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Foster Smith and the late Esther (Wagner) Smith.

Alice was last employed as a School Bus Driver for First Student, Inc., Northampton, PA for 5 years before retiring in 1992. Alice was a life member of both the Raccoon Club, Northampton, PA and the W. Catasauqua Fire Co., Whitehall, PA. She was the former Treasurer of the Clubmen's Association, and in her earlier years she loved to bowl.

She is survived by her daughters, Helen I. Wright and Companion James Elliott  of Palmerton, PA and Sandie D. wife of Rob Preusch of Chalfont, PA, brother, David Smith and wife Sandra of Dunnellon, FL, sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Golley of Lakeland, FL and Ethel wife of Donald Brader of Northampton, PA; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by daughter, Lisa L. Snyder in 2019 and grandson Douglas Wellington 2006.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM on April 22, 2024 at Salem U.C.C. Church, 615 3rd Street, Catasauqua, PA 18032, with the Rev Michael Smith officiating. Miller Funeral Home, 137 Fairview Street, Lehighton, PA 18235 has been entrusted with her care and arrangements.
