Allan L. Cook

Area musicians mourn one of their own.

Mr. Allan Lee Cook , passed away on January 2, 2021, as a result of Covid-19 complications.  Gone much too soon, he led a successful and fulfilling life.  Some would say two lives.

In his first life, Allan earned an Associate Degree with Electrical Engineering, providing him the opportunity to work for Bell Labs in Allentown, PA.  His involvement there led to the creation of a somewhat unique process which he turned into a company, Integral Engineered Castings.  As President, he used his ebullient personality and commitment to excellence to navigate as a successful entrepreneur.

His second life ran through his first.  Allan always had a presence in the music scene performing in numerous bands and with many individuals throughout his life.  He was well known for his musical ability as "The Sax Man" or the "Dr. of Funk, Jive, Jazz and Junk".  His musical prowess was enhanced by his education at the Berkley College of Music.  Allan's musical life blossomed in PA and the Poconos and accelerated in the Tampa/St. Pete area.  Again, his outgoing personality made him the entertainer you had to see.

Survivors: Allan is preceded in passing by his parents, Melvin E. and Arline G. (Clague) Cook, and his sister, Barbara.  He is survived by his brother Ronald and wife Lori Cook of Tucson.  Daughter, Christine D. Olivia-Wisocky.  Granddaughter, Melissa S. wife of John Schumada of Palmerton.  Niece, Jennifer, and nephew, Nathan.  Longtime companion Lorrie Kalahar of FL.

Services: He will be interred in Palmerton, PA, next to his beloved wife Marie.  Services will be private.  In remembrance of Allan, his family invites you to a virtual ceremony:
