Allen R. Schaffer

Allen R. Schaffer, 65 of Northampton-Allen Township, PA passed away after a long battle with cancer, on November 5, 2021, at his residence.

Born March 24, 1956 in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond C. Schaffer and Gladys F. (Sterner) Schaffer who resides in Allen Twp.., PA. He was the husband of the late Arlene (Ajello) Schaffer.

He was a 1974 graduate of Northampton Senior High School who then served in the US Marine Corps for several years. Following the military and returning home, he attended Moravian College, Bethlehem, PA, and earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. Allen was last employed by Carbon/ Monroe/Pike Counties Drug & Alcohol Commission as a Counselor for 20 years before retiring in 2019.

Surviving along with his mother Gladys are sister, Diane J. wife of Dennis Schmoyer of Macungie, PA, Step-Son, Jeffrey Ajello of Annville, PA, Step-Son, Jonathan Ajello of Forest Hills, NY, Step-Daughter, Jeannine Ajello of Silver Springs, MD, Nephew, Ryan MacKewen, and Niece, Tracy MacKewen.
