Allen W. Schenkenberger , 90, of Ore Street, Bowmanstown, died peacefully Tuesday morning, June 15, 2021, at Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton, Pennsylvania.  He was the husband of the late Doris F. (Weaver) Schenkenberger who passed in 2015.  Born in Bowmanstown, he was the son of the late Alexander E. and Arlene E. (Lentz) Schenkenberger.

Allen was a self-employed general contractor and carpenter for over 45 years.  He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bowmanstown.  A 1948 graduate of the Palmerton High School, he continued his education at Stevens Trade School, Lancaster, in 1952.  Allen served in the Army, Korea Era, Europe, and achieved the rank of CPL.  He was a member and past president of the Bowmanstown Borough Council, and served as potable water controller for many years.  Allen held certification of the water plant operations for the Lehigh-Carbon Community College.

Survivors: Daughters, Denise A. wife of John F. Pruzinsky of Whitehall, and Amy B. Schenkenberger of Bowmanstown.  Son, Alan W. and wife Colleen of Breinigsville.  5 grandchildren, JonAlan, Hannah, Garrett, Molly, and Eric.  Great-grandson, John.

Services: Private Family Graveside Services.  Interment Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Fireline Road, Bowmanstown.  Arrangements, Miller Funeral Home, Lehighton.  Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
