Allen H. Smith

Allen H. Smith , 72 of Lehighton, PA, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at St. Luke's Fountain Hill, Bethlehem, PA. Born July 21, 1951 in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Nevin Smith and the late Verna (Handwerk) Smith. He was the husband of Peggy (Semmel) Smith, with whom he shared 53 years of loving marriage.

Allen started his working career with the New Jersey Zinc Company as a Bag Room Operator for 20 years. He then went on to work for Victaulic as a Fork Lift Operator and Material Handler for 27 years before retiring in 2017. In his free time, Allen loved to be afield hunting, fishing, or at home enjoying his time napping.

Survivors: Wife.  Daughters, Melissa Melville and companion Mark Cole of Bath, PA, and Amy Rehrig of Palmerton, PA.  Granddaughter, Shelby Heller and husband Dan of Palmerton PA.  Grandsons Lee Kuntz and wife Kayla of Palmerton PA, Nickolas Smith of Lehighton PA, and Cole Rehrig of Palmerton PA.  Great-granddaughter Dior Smith.  4 brothers, and 3 sisters.  Daughter-in-law Stacy Smith. He was predeceased by son, Chad Smith.

Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday April 29, 2024, at Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue Palmerton, PA 18071.
