Allen T. Winter, 95, of Nazareth, PA passed away on Monday, April 6, 2020, at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth, PA.
Born May 25, 1924, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, he was son of the late Paul and Margaret (Scheffler) Winter. He was the husband of Pauline (Schoeneberger) Winter, with whom he celebrated 72 years of marriage this past Christmas.
After graduation, Allen honorably served his country in the United States Army during World War II, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant. He served in a Tank Battalion working as a radio repairman.
After his service, Allen worked for the Keystone Cement Co., Bath, PA for many years before his retirement in 1989.
Allen was a former member of the F&AM Manoquesy Lodge #413, Bath, PA, as well as the Keystone Rod & Gun Club for many years.
Surviving are wife, Pauline, sons, Bruce Winter and wife Cindy of Nazareth, PA, Allen Schoeneberger and wife Patricia of Catawba, NC, and Timothy Winter and wife Connie of Shreveport, LA, daughters Susan Van Duzen of East Stroudsburg, Shelly Shive of Nazareth, PA, and Constance Huth wife of Randall of Nazareth, PA, brother, William Winter of Las Vegas, NV; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 E. Center St, Nazareth, PA 18064, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Contributions in Allen's memory may be made to the Holy Cross Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, C/O the funeral home.
