Anna Samok

Anna Samok, 96, of Palmerton, Pennsylvania, died Friday, October 21, 2016, at her home with her family by her side. Born December 15, 1919 in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John Dankanich and Anna (Horvath) Dankanich. She was the wife of the late John Samok, Sr. who passed away in August 1992.
Anna was a presser for various local garment mills in the Palmerton area for over 30 years before retiring in 1981. She was a life long member of Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Palmerton.
She is survived by daughters, Mrs. MaryAnn Tomish of Palmerton, PA; Janette wife of Glen Youse of Allentown, PA; Sons, John Samok, Jr., and Michael J. Samok and wife Jeanne both of Palmerton, PA. 7 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren, and 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, 715 Church Street, Palmerton, Pennsylvania 18071, with the Rev. Fr. Frank A. Hanincik officiating. The family will receive friends from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, Pennsylvania. Interment will follow in St. Vladimir's Lower Cemetery, Palmerton, PA 18071.
