Annabel E. Fogal

Annabel (Evans) Fogal, 87, of Slatington, PA, passed away in the early hours of Saturday,  February 15, 2025.  Born January 10, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Earl G. and Dorothy R. (Swartz) Evans.

Annabel received her BA from Ursinus College and her Master's Degree in Library Science from Case Western Reserve.  She had a fulfilling and successful career in the Library field. She served as the Director of the Northampton Area Public Library, Coordinator of District Services for Dauphin County Library System in Harrisburg, Cataloging Services Manager at Brodart in Williamsport, Cataloging Director at Follett in Crystal Lake, IL and finished her career as the AV Cataloging Manager at BWI in Lexington, KY.  She retired to her childhood home in Slatington in 2004.  In her retirement she served on the Slatington Public Library Board, enjoyed playing the Clarinet with the Parryville Band and walking her beloved dog, Megan.

Survivors: Annabel is survived by her son, Timothy D. Fogal of Meriden, CT, daughter, Karin L. Fogal and her husband, Jerry S. Underkoffler of Walnutport, PA, granddaughter Brianna R. Fogal and her finance, Ryan Wiesenberg of South Lyon, MI.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Union Cemetery, Slatington, located off Rt. 873 and Cemetery Street Slatington, PA 18080. Arrangements are entrusted to Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067.
