AnnaMarie (Korona) Bachert , 81, of Palmerton, Towamensing Township, PA, died peacefully on Wednesday morning, May 14, 2025, in her home. She was the wife of Richard C. Bachert since August 21, 1976. Born in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Elizabeth (Donello) Korona of Alpha, NJ.
AnnaMarie was employed as a seamstress by the former Scotty's Fashions Co., Little Gap, and later retiring from the Lehighton Mill. Previously, she worked for Mister Pants, Gracedale County Home, and the St. Regis Paper Co. She was a member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Trachsville. AnnaMarie attended Alpha, NJ Public Schools, and was a graduate of the Phillipsburg High School, NJ. AnnaMarie was a member and former secretary, as well as a director of the Towamensing Township Volunteer Fire Company, Trachsville. She also volunteered as a financial secretary of the Fire Company's Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member, past president, and secretary of the Palmerton Over 60 Club.
Survivors: Husband, Richard C. Bachert, Sons, Richard V. Bachert of Pillow, Dauphin County, and Stephen C. and wife Mary Kay Bachert of Plymouth, Luzerne County. 3 Grandchildren, Cera, Jake, and Sean.
Services: 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 19, 2025, at Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071. Call, 1:00-2:00 p.m., on Monday in the funeral home.
