Anne E. (Seifert) Scherer, 53, of Broad Street, W. Catasauqua, Whitehall Township, Pennsylvania, died on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, in her home. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Harry S. Seifert and Mrs. Goldie J. (Barczy) Seifert.
Anne was employed by Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, as an Administrative Coordinator in the Neurological Department. Previously, she worked for Terry Stanglein, DVM, Northampton, and the Air Products Corporation. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Allentown. A 1981 graduate of Whitehall High School, and later a graduate of Weidner University-Brandywine Campus. She loved animals and enjoyed volunteering at various shelters. Anne was a member of PETA.
Survivors: Mother. Son, Jonathan S. Scherer of Whitehall. Sister, Helen Spivak of Georgia. Nephew, Brett. She was predeceased by son, Joseph S. Scherer in 2014, and a brother Robert.
Services: Memorial Services at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067. Call, 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Interment, Fairview Cemetery, Lehigh Street, W. Catasauqua, Whitehall Township.
