Anthony R. "Bob" Harry, 88 of Palmerton, PA, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Above and Beyond at the Knights in Allentown, PA. Born May 4, 1938 in Palmerton, he was the son of the late Joseph Harry and the late Josephine (Virag) Harry. He was the husband of Anita P. (Pelosi) Harry, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage before her passing in 2016.
After graduating from high school, Anthony enlisted in the US Air Force, honorably serving from 1956 until 1960, as a A/1C E-4 (P). He began working in the clothing manufacturing business, starting in the family's business, Gloria Manufacturing, Slatington PA. He then moved on to working for various companies before retiring.
Anthony was a lifetime member of the Palmerton Hungarian Club, and an Eagle Scout in The Boy Scouts of America, Troop #44 of Palmerton. Anthony was always a helping hand, helping anyone in need. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, Notre Dame football fan, and a big supporter of the local Appalachian Trail.
Surviving are Daughter, Diana wife of Michael Janny of Hanover Township. Sons Stephen Harry & wife Holly of Whitehall, Anthony (Tony) Harry & wife Josann of Palmerton. Affectionately known as “Pop” to his loving Grandchildren, Amanda wife of Thomas Seddon, Joshua Sutter & wife Jennifer, Jarred Harry & wife Kayla, and Rachel Harry. One great grandson, Dominic Harry.
Services: The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by an 11:00 AM mass, all on Wednesday, August 26, at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church - 243 Lafayette Avenue Palmerton, Pennsylvania 18071 with Father Michael E. Mullins officiating. Interment will follow, Sacred Heart New Cemetery, Palmerton, PA.
Contributions: Memorial contributions may be made in Anthony's memory to Sacred Heart Church Memorial Fund, care of the funeral home.
