Anthony C. Capone, Jr.

Anthony C. Capone, Jr., 76, of White Street, Bowmanstown, PA, died peacefully Sunday morning, June 19, 2022, in his home.  He was the husband of Jane C. (Farkas) Capone since August 19, 1972.  Born in Waukegan, IL, he was a son of the late Dr. Anthony C., Sr., DDS and Angeline (Oeschger) Capone.

Anthony was employed in Maryland as a secondary school PE instructor and coach.  In his later years, he enjoyed coaching baseball, softball, and basketball at St. John Neumann Regional School, Palmerton, Slatington, and at the St. Anne's Church School, Bethlehem.  Anthony was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton.  A Navy Veteran, he served his country with honor during the Vietnam Era on the USS Garcia, Newport, RI, and achieved the rank of MM3 (E-4).

Survivors: Wife.  Daughter, Maryann wife of Paul Raschilla of Nazareth.  Son, Anthony Joseph of Palmerton.  3 grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, and Adrianna.  Sisters, Theresa Lyman of Baldwinsville, NY, Christine Meath of Evansville, NY, Rita wife of Jimmy Hall of Framingham, MA, Maria wife of Charles Dibble of Lowville, NY, and Jean wife of Sidney Pond of Watertown, NY.  Brothers, David and wife Katy of Batavia, NY, Dr. Patrick and wife Ellen of Winchester, VA, Dr. Peter, DDS and wife Susan of Johnson City, NY, and James and wife Karen of Syracuse, NY.  Numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by sisters, Donna Capone, Cecelia Daly, and a brother, Dr. Thomas Capone, DDS.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2022, Sacred Heart Church, 243 Lafayette Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Call, 9:00-10:00 a.m., Saturday in church.  Interment with Military Honors, Parish's New Cemetery, Stoney Ridge Road, Palmerton.  Arrangements, Campton Funeral Home, Palmerton.  Online Condolences: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
