Anthony M. Gillette, 72, of Washington Avenue, Northampton, died peacefully early Friday morning, December 23, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. Born in Catasauqua, he was a son of the late John C., Sr. and Mary A. (Cherowich) Gillette.
Tony was a 1968 graduate of the Catasauqua High School and served in the USAF, England, during the Vietnam War, achieving rank of SGT E-4. Upon returning home, he worked for the USPS, Allentown, until his retirement. After retiring, he kept busy with various part time jobs and DIY projects. He was a jack of all trades and great at household repairs, helping many of his siblings and friends. A great cook, he loved making crab cakes and halupkies. Tony played guitar for a band during his high school years and stayed in touch with his fellow high school graduates. Later, he loved playing golf and talking sports with brothers and friends. He enjoyed decorating for the holidays in the most tasteful way and exploding pyrotechnics on the Fourth of July.
