Arthur A. Berger , 93, formerly of Forest Street, Lehighton, Franklin Township, Pennsylvania, died peacefully early Wednesday morning, February 3, 2021, at The Palmerton Personal Care Home.  He was the husband of the late Marian M. Berger who passed in 2016.  Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late F. Raymond R. and Eva M. (Borger) Borger.

Arthur was employed as a test driver for Mack Trucks, Allentown, retiring in 1987.  Previously, he worked for Schwerman Trucking and Chemical Tanklines.  Arthur was a member of Jerusalem United Church of Christ, Trachsville.  An army veteran of WWII, he served during the occupation and achieved the rank of Sargeant.  Arthur was a life member of the Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company, Franklin Township Lions Club, and the Bowmanstown Rod and Gun Club.

Survivors: Daughter, Cuela K. wife of Larry Strauss of Blandon.  Son, Dean A. and wife Lavona of Ashfield.  4 grandchildren.  7 great-grandchildren.  Sisters, Arlene Kresge of Palmerton, Shirley wife of William Fritz, Mildred wife of Keen Ahner, and Beatrice Waible, all of Lehighton, Joanne wife of Jack Weeks of Sun City, AZ, and Ruby wife of Gerald Voorhees of Slatington.  Brother, Leonard and wife Grace Borger of Lower Towamensing Township.  Numerous nieces and nephews.

Services: Memorial Services with Military Honors, 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 17, 2021, Jerusalem UCC, 545 Church Drive, Palmerton (Trachsville), PA 18071.  Call, 10:00-11:00 a.m., Wednesday in the church. Private Interment.  Arrangements, Miller Funeral Home, Lehighton.  Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
