Arthur J. Laury

Arthur J. Laury, 80 of Lehighton - Union Hill, Pennsylvania. died on Friday, June 7, 2019, at Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Lehighton. Born May 10, 1939 in Franklin Twsp., PA, he was the son of the late Kenneth Laury and Annabelle (Boyer) Laury. He was the husband of Joan C. (David) Laury with whom he shared 57 years of marriage last October 21, 2018.

Arthur worked for the former Zinc Corporation of America, Palmerton, PA. as a Supervisor of the Oxide East Plant for 30 years before retiring in 1996. He served his country in the U.S. Navy as RM3 onboard of the USS Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. during Peacetime. He was a lifetime member of the Lehighton Fire Co. #1., He was an avid sports enthusiast enjoying Football, Baseball, and Nascar Racing. He also enjoyed going to the Casinos.

Survivors: Wife, Joan Laury.  Son, James M. and wife Betsy Laury of Madison, AL.  Brother, Willard and wife Sophie Laury of Lehighton, PA; 2 granddaughters: Meghan and Kathryn.
