Arthur W. Thompson, II , 77, of Palmerton, PA, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2021, at his home with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Eileen (Reiner) Thompson. He was the son of the late Arthur W. Thompson, II, and the late Shirley (Knierim) and Harrison DeVore.
Arthur graduated from the East Stroudsburg High School, class of 1964. A lifetime musician/singer, Art was well known for entertaining as a solo act, and with his country band, County Line, and jamming with his sons or friends around a campfire. Art was an avid fisherman and camper, spending years fishing the lakes of Canada and New York. He loved his many pets. He was employed at Blue Ridge Communications, Lehighton office, and as a videographer for TV13. He retired from BRC in 2008. Art was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Towamensing.
Survivors: Wife. Daughters, Lori Herbold (Eric) of New Tripoli, Brandi Winters (Jason Holden), Beth Winters (Ryan Fee), all of Palmerton. Sons, Arthur, IV (Beth) of Drexel Hill, Aaron (Rachel) of Atlanta, GA, and Frederick Camp of Las Vegas, NV. 7 grandchildren, Adam, Kyle, Nathan, Mary Claire, Evelyn, Emma, and Angelina. Sisters, Carol Thompson (Terri) of OR, Leslie (Carl) Cramer of Brodheadsville. Brothers, Gary Thompson of FL, and Leroy DeVore of VA. Sisters-in-law, Rose Thompson of Bangor, and Gloria Hawk of FL. Brother-in-law, David (Marie) Reiner of Danielsville. Many nieces, nephews, and fur babies, Daisy and Duke. He was predeceased by sister, Anne Sprague, and brother, Brian Thompson.
Services: Memorial Services, 11:30a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2021, St. John's Towamensing Lutheran Church, PO Box 2915, 2915 Fireline Road, Palmerton, PA 18071.
