Avery M. Ziegenfus
, 22, of Jim Thorpe, Penn Forest Township, Pennsylvania, died Sunday afternoon in East Penn Township, Carbon County. Born in Lehighton, he was the son of Kelly A. and Kim D. (Schaffer) Ziegenfus of Penn Forest Township.
Avery was employed as a forklift operator/shipping department of Arlington Plastics Company, Scranton, and later in the detail department of Tom Hesser Nissan, Dunmore. He attended St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Towamensing, Palmerton. Avery will forever be known as a loving, big hearted, energetic hard working young man, with a smile that could light up the night. He had a great love for his family and an unbridled devotion to his sister, Miranda. He enjoyed fishing, riding dirt bikes, snowboarding, and working with his hands. In the recent months, he found great joy in helping his cousin, Justin, renovate his home, and working with his friend, Corey, detailing cars, both whom he loved like brothers. For all who knew him, he was the type of man who would give you the shirt off his back, and be in your corner whenever you needed him.
