Barbara A. Johns, 85, of Northampton, PA, formerly of Hokendauqua-Whitehall, PA, passed away on Thursday,
December 14, 2017, at Weston Senior Living Center, Northampton. Born December 10, 1932 in Hokendauqua-
Whitehall, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Kane and Edith (Beck) Kane. She was the wife of the late
Edward "Mickey" Johns with whom she shared 46 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2001.
Barbara was employed by the former Tarkett Manufacturing in Whitehall as a customer service representative and
responsible for ordering for 32 years until retiring in 1995. She was a former bowler on women's leagues, an avid
bingo player and enjoyed visiting the beach with her family.
Survivors: Surviving are daughters, Sandra E. wife of Thomas Bennett of Walnutport, PA; Ardell B. wife of Jason Babio of
Danielsville, PA; sister, Marilyn wife of Richard New of Danielsville, PA; 6 grandchildren, Timothy, Destiny, Chad,
Amanda, Tiffany and Stephanie; 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by daughter, Michelle wife of Donald
Heiney of Catasauqua in 2016.
Services: A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 18, 2017 at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 1700
Airport Road Allentown, PA 18109. Memorial contributions may be sent to First Presbyterian Church of
Hokendauqua Memorial Fund, 3005 S. Front Street, Whitehall, PA 18052.
