Bernard Charles Nemeth, 70, of Bethlehem, PA passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at his residence. Born Tuesday, March 27, 1951 in Northampton, PA, he was the son of the late Mary (Wechsler) and Joseph Nemeth.
After high school, he went on to Kutztown State Teachers College, where he graduated with a BA in Education, focusing in Biology. He later earned his M.Ed from Temple University. Bernard taught science for 7 years at Nitschmann and East Hills Middle Schools. He then was employed as General Manager for the former Eichler's Wood Products, Laurys Station for 19 years and Director of Quality, Safety and Administration at Oldcastle Easton
for 4 years.
Bernard was a member of Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, Bethlehem. He was an avid bicyclist who loved going on long distance rides and had just completed his 6,000 mile mark for this year. He enjoyed attending the many varied events of his his niece's & nephew's families.
He is survived by brother Thomas Nemeth and wife Maryann of Slatington, PA, along with nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph and sisters, Magdalene Altemose and Agnes Verenna.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, Bethlehem,1861 Catasauqua Road, Bethlehem, PA, 18018. The Rev. Msgr. Thomas Baddick will celebrate the Mass. Friends and family may call 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM before Mass. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Northampton, PA.
