Betty M. Humanick , 95 of Slatington, PA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Liza's House Personal Care Home in Danielsville, PA, Born June 6, 1929, in Northampton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Spangler and the late Esther (Atherholt) Spangler. She was the wife of the late Edgar J. Humanick who passed away on May 31, 1991.
Betty was a sewing machine operator for 31 years for the former Cross-Country Clothes, Northampton, PA until retiring in 1992. Betty and her husband were the owners and operators of Betty and Eddies Bar, from 1969 - 1982 in Treichlers, PA, Betty's true passion was helping her family and others. She was a member of Good Shepherd U.C.C. Church, Slatedale, PA.
She is survived by her daughters, Darlene Van Norman (Gary) and Mrs. Carol A. Oswald, and daughter-in-law Linda Humanick all of Slatington, PA, brother, LeRoy Spangler (Lola) of Bethlehem, PA; 6 grandchildren; Chad (Tracy), Brandon (Jodee), and Ronnie (Cortney) Humanick, Darin (Vanessa), Ryan (Maria) Van Norman, and Aaron (Christie) Oswald, grandson-in-law, Denis Trelease, 16 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-laws, Helen Humanick of Whitehall, and Dorothy Turk (Paul) of Bethlehem along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son, Rodney J. in 2011, son-in-law, Barry Oswald and granddaughter, Mandi Trelease both in 2021. along with 6 sisters and 3 brothers.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday March 29, 2025, at Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, 3940 Mountain Road Slatedale, PA, 18079, Rev. James Robison, Jr. will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the services in the church. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery - Allen Twsp., Northampton, PA.
