Betty J. James

Betty J. James, 92 of Northampton, formerly of Whitehall, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Sacred Heart Assisted Living, Northampton.

Born November 6, 1930 in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Gladys (Weaver) Schaup and wife of the late Alfred E. James. She worked for the former Lucent Technologies in Allentown for 35 years before retiring in 1994.

She is survived by daughters, Cindy L. wife of David Brady of Whitehall, and Linda K. wife of Dennis Wechsler of New Ringgold, brother, Dennis Schaup and wife Shirley of Emmaus, six grandchildren eleven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Eileen Mace, and brother, David Schaup.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by an 11:00 AM funeral service, all on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Jordan United Church of Christ, 1837 Church Road, Allentown. Interment will follow at the Jordan U.C.C. Cemetery, Allentown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, in care of the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067.
