Bonnie J. Bloomingdale, 72, of Moore Township, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021.
Born June 23, 1948 in North Adams, Massachusetts, she was the youngest of five children of the late William H. and Florence (Moir) Jennings. She was married first to the late Richard Racine for nine years and then married for 29 years to the late William J. Bloomingdale until his passing in 2009.
She graduated from St. Joseph's High School in 1966 and attended specialized nurse's aide training for work in the newborn nursery at Berkshire Medical Center. She then dedicated the majority of her career to caring for the elderly. She worked as a CNA at ManorCare, Bethlehem for over twenty years before retiring, then was an in-home caregiver.
She enjoyed spending time with her friends, and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She also enjoyed cooking and birdwatching.
She is survived by sons, Scott R. and wife Jessica Racine of New Tripoli, and William H. Bloomingdale of Moore Township. She was predeceased by infant son, Douglas Racine; brothers, Peter Jennings and Paul Jennings; and sisters, Nancy Benoit and Shirley Scarbo.
The family will receive friends from 5:00PM to 6:30PM on Friday, May 21, 2021, at the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, Pennsylvania 18067.
In lieu of flower, memorial contributions may be made to the Northampton County Area Agency on Aging in care of the funeral home.
