Brenda E. (Saylor) Semmel,
65, of Whitehall, Pennsylvania, died early Saturday morning, February 24, 2018, at Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth. She was the wife of David "Chuck" C. Semmel, since April 15, 1072. Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Ray E. and Lillian (Marsh) Saylor.
Brenda was employed as an Assistant Librarian at the Northampton Area Public Library, for 21 years, until retiring in 2016. She attended St. John's United Church of Christ, Howertown. A 1970 graduate of the Northampton High School, she was very active, and instrumental, in the Friends of the N.A.P.L. Basket Social.
Survivors: Husband, David. Daughter, Michele L. wife of Andrew Reitz of Fleetwood. Son, Keith D. and Chery Mohry of Laury's Station. 3 grandchildren, Madeline, Abigail, and Gavin. Brother, Larry R. and wife Joan of Northampton. 2 nephews.
Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Schisler Funeral Home, Inc., 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067. Call, 7:00-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2018, and 10:00-11:00 a.m., Thursday, in the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery, West Catasauqua, Whitehall Township.
