Brian E. Umstead

Brian E. Umstead , 66, East Lane, Palmerton, PA, died peacefully Thursday evening, September 28, 2023, in his home.  He was the husband of the late Susan O. (Andrews) Umstead.  Born in Bryn Mawr, Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Charles "Ted" and Hildegard Umstead.

Brian was employed as a regional hydraulic sales manager for the Rexroth Corp., Bethlehem, and Dinamic Oil Co., NC, retiring in 2021.  He was a 1974 graduate of the Palmerton High School, later graduating from LCCC, Schnecksville.  An avid golfer, he was a member of the former Blue Ridge Country Club, Palmerton.  Brian enjoyed baseball, especially the Philadelphia Phillies, collecting baseball cards, traveling, and watching action movies.

Survivors: Sons, Neil W. of Mountain Top, Zachary of Palmerton.  2 granddaughters, Tirzah, and Zooey.  Sister, Maria wife of Josef Staudt of Bruckmuhl, Rosenheim, Germany.  4 nephews.
