Bruce J. Braker , 76 of Allen Township, passed away on Friday, January 9th, 2026, at his home. Born Friday, November 4th, 1949 in Northampton, he was the son of the late James R. and Dorothea M. (Traugher) Braker and the husband of the late Susan A. (Wunderler) Braker.
Bruce worked as a Turn Foreman in the Foundry Division of the Bethlehem Steel Co., Bethlehem for twenty five years and then worked at Grundfos, Inc., Allentown for fifteen years until retiring in 2016. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Howertown, where he was an Elder, Deacon, and a member of the Property Committee and Historic Committee. He honorably served as a Sergeant in the US Air Force during Vietnam, working as a mechanic on McDonnell Douglas F4E Phantom II fighter jets.
Bruce loved his family and enjoyed hosting pool parties and picnics at his house with his wife, Sue. He was known for being the cameraman, and would get great satisfaction by blinding everyone with the camera light. He loved getting together for Christmas and going to everyone's sporting events, making sure to document as much as possible. In his free time, Bruce enjoyed working on his classic cars, tractors, and model trains. He enjoyed going to car, tractor, and train shows, and really enjoyed always being negative about the Eagles and Phillies chances, while being a die-hard fan.
He is survived by his son, Brett K. Braker and wife Rachael Krause-Braker of Bethlehem, granddaughter, Riley Susan Braker, sisters Darlene P. wife of David Landes of Bath, and Faye D. wife of James Creveling of Slatington, and many loving nieces and nephews.
