Bruce R. Fritzinger , 84, of S. 2nd Street, Lehighton, Pennsylvania, died suddenly Monday morning, January 17, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital, Carbon Campus, Lehighton, Franklin Township. He was the husband of Charlotte M. (Zellner) Fritzinger celebrating over 65 years of marriage. Born in Slatington, he was a son of the late Beatrice M. (West) Burbes and stepson to the late Lewis Burbes.
Bruce was owner/operator/truck driver of the former Fritzinger Trucking Company, Walnutport, for many years. Previously he worked as a Lehigh Township Police Officer. He proudly served as a private in the Army, Vietnam Era. Bruce was an avid deer hunter and life member of Blue Mountain Fish and Game Protective Association, Lehigh Township. He enjoyed dirt track stock car racing, traveling to Dorneyville, Nazareth, and Mahoning Valley Speedways.
Survivors: Wife. Sister-in-laws, Mrs. Barbara Finnley of Palmerton, and Elizabeth Osborne of Northampton. Goddaughter, Cindy wife of Phil Ivins of Bethlehem. Godson, Richard Pursell of Walnutport. Nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, Elmer L.
Services: 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 21, 2022, Miller Funeral Home, 137 Fairview Street, Lehighton, PA 18235. Call, 1:00-2:00 p.m., Friday in the funeral home.
