Bruce E. Whitby

Bruce E. Whitby , 68, of Franklin Avenue, Palmerton, PA, died late Saturday evening, October 30, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem.  Born in Palmerton, he was the son of the late Harold F. and Nancy (Beers) Jones.

Bruce was employed as a house painter for several years.  Previously he worked for the former Prince Manufacturing, W. Bowmans, and the former NJ Zinc Co., Palmerton.  Bruce was a 1971 graduate of the Palmerton High School and later served in the Army, Vietnam Era, and achieved the rank of SP4.  After discharge, Bruce re-enlisted in the Navy, Vietnam Era, and achieved the rank of EN2.

Survivors: Sisters, Gwendolyn R. Gruber of Palmerton, Susan L. wife of Michael Wirth, and Janet L. wife of Darin Dotter, all of Lehighton.  2 nieces and 3 nephews.
