Carl R. Dean, 77 of Northampton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, May 23, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg, Bethlehem.

Born November 24, 1943 in Doylestown, he was the son of the late Robert and Erma (Palmer) Dean. He and his loving wife Ann Marie (O'Rourke) Dean had just celebrated their 32nd anniversary.

As past director of the Coopersburg Chapter of the Harley Owners Group, Carl organized and led many charitable events to benefit children. He honorably served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam war.

In his retirement, Carl became a skilled woodcrafter and self proclaimed "purveyor of precision sawdust." He took great pleasure in spending hours in his "shop" handcrafting beautiful gifts for his family. His motto – "Regrets? Very few. I did it my way."

In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, Joseph Conforti (Rebecca) of Muhlenberg Township, daughters, Tina O'Rourke (Carolyn) of Sellersville, Laurie Prestosh (Walter) of Allentown, and Leslie Corredera (Aldo) of Northampton, grandchildren Kristen, Alix, TJ, Mia, Lylah, and Zac, great-grandson Lorenzo. He was predeceased by a grandson, Billy.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by the Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton.

Contributions may be made in Carl's memory to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund.
