Carl Nachesty

Carl Nachesty, 84, of Northampton, Pennsylvania passed away Thursday September 7, 2017. A lifelong resident of Northampton, Carl was born on December 14, 1932. He was the husband of Miriam L. (Heller) Nachesty with whom he shared 61 years of marriage. He graduated from Northampton High School and Temple University. Carl honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After the Army, he went on to own Chip's Lunch in Northampton for forty years.

Carl was a man who found true meaning in life with his loving family and friends. He was a a man who lived by a set of strong virtues and values. He loved his home on Washington Avenue and his favorite pastime was his yard work and farm1, farm2, and farm3.

Family : Loving wife, Miriam; cherished daughters; Tammy, Mary wife of Kevin Hittinger of Lehigh Township, Beth wife of Christopher Dax of Dove Canyon, California, and Lisa. Sisters; Shirley wife of Joseph Kovalchik of Northampton, Jean wife of Al Makovsky of Whitehall, and Martha Freeman of Cohasset, MA, Brother; Stephen of Northampton. Five especially loved grandchildren; Amara, Jessie, Josh, Jen, and Jacqueline.

Services: Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday September 14, 2017 at the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA. 18067. A viewing will be held from 9-11AM Thursday in the funeral home.
