Carol H. (Miller) Kanas, 84, of Walnutport, PA, died Monday afternoon, March 23, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Kanas who passed last July. Born in Slatington, she was a daughter of the late Clayton E. and Josephine M. (Worman) Miller.

Carol was employed in the food service department of the Blue Mountain Ski Area, formerly, Little Gap Ski Area, Palmerton. Previously, she worked in various garment mills in the region. A 1960 graduate of the former Slatington High School, she was a basketball star, known as "Killer Miller." In her later years, she spent a lot of time riding her bike with family, and feeding ducks, birds, and squirrels. She was always busy at home, sewing, gardening, and making something special to share from her extensive recipe collection. Carol cherished her conversations with her niece and nephews, and happy visiting or talking with her friends and neighbors.

Survivors: Daughter, Jennifer L. wife of Tony Bauer of Lehigh Township. 3 grandchildren, Eric, Amy, and Aaron. Niece, Christine Deiter. Nephews, Jim and wife Pat Pavelco, Michael, David, and Stephen Heintzelman. She was predeceased by a daughter, Sherrie Smith in 2022, and sisters, Corinne Heintzelman, and Priscilla Chestnut.
