Carol Rose Rehrig

Carol Rose (Smith) Rehrig, 80, of E. Berea Street, Summit Hill, formerly of Mahoning Valley, PA, died peacefully Wednesday evening, July 26, 2023, at Greenwood Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, Hometown.  Born in Baltimore, MD, she was a daughter of the late Mahlon, Sr., and Lena (Fisher) Smith.

Carol was employed as a trimmer/garment worker for the former Barson and Bishop, Co., Palmerton.  She was a longtime member of the I.L.G.W.U.  She enjoyed working and for many years had 2 or 3 jobs at one time.  Carol enjoyed watching television, especially the Golden Girls sitcom, and window shopping.

Survivors: Daughter, Tammy Trinkle of Weissport.  Son, Robert M. with whom she resided.  4 grandchildren.  Great-Grandchildren.  Sister, Mary-Lou Muffley in the Poconos.  Brothers, Mahlon, Jr., and wife Dianne of Lehighton, Irvin of Delaware, and Ronald and wife Joanie of Tamaqua.  Multiple nieces and nephews.

Services: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 2, 2023, Miller Funeral Home, 137 Fairview Street, Lehighton, PA 18235.  Call, 10:00-11:00 a.m., Wednesday in the funeral home.  Interment, Towamensing Cemetery, 3rd Street and Fireline Road, Palmerton.
