Carol A. Strohe

Carol A. Strohe (Wunderler), 54, of Bethlehem, PA passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born December, 25, 1964, she was the daughter of Carl Wunderler, Jr. and Hilda (Kollar) Wunderler.  She was the wife of David Faust.

Carol was a graduate of Northampton Area High School, where she excelled in athletics, particularly basketball and track and field.  While at Northampton, she held records for both shot put and discus for 29 and 30 years respectively. She was a dominant force on the basketball and volleyball courts as well as the softball field for Northampton Community College. She then earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from East Stroudsburg University. Carol was employed by the Whitehall School District where she worked as a health and physical education teacher for well over 20 years.  She was admired and highly respected by her colleagues and students. Being very passionate about her family, Carol was an incredible and fun-loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and daughter.  Carol was passionate about sports and in her spare time she enjoyed coaching track and field as well as youth soccer and youth softball.

Surviving are her parents, Carl Jr. and Hilda of Northampton, PA, husband David of Bethlehem, PA, daughters, Taylor R. (Strohe) Labar and husband Tim of Port Isabel, TX, son, Cam W. Strohe of Bangor, PA, and Tatum C. Strohe of Bangor, PA, step-children Sarah and Andrew Faust of Northampton, PA, sister Diane M. (Wunderler) Hubka of Great Falls, MT, brother, Carl J. Wunderler, III of Macungie, PA , and Dr. Denise L. Wunderler, DO, FAOASM, of Holmdel, NJ, grandchildren Corbin and Gryffin Labar, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday December 4 and from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Thursday December 5 at Schisler Funeral Home located at 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA 18067.  A funeral service will be held Thursday December 5 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
