Carolyn E. Butz

Carolyn E. (Szakacs) Butz , 80, of Lincoln Avenue, Walnutport, Pennsylvania, died Friday, December 11, 2020, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem.  She was the wife of the late Lester A. Butz who passed in 2008.  Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Alex and Helen (Taskovics) Szakacs.

Carolyn was employed as a machine operator by the former Cross Country Clothes, Botany 500 Group, Northampton, for 34 years.  She was a member of the I.L.G.W.U., and Christ United Church of Christ, Walnutport, and the Palmerton Red Hat Society.  An avid card player, she enjoyed pinochle, and Texas Hold'em Poker.

Survivors: Daughter, Deborah G. Butz of Walnutport.   Son, Dale A. of Walnutport.  4 grandchildren. 5 great-grandchildren.  Sister, Nancy wife of Joseph Herzog of Forest Inn.  Brother, Alex and wife Louise of Bethlehem.  Nieces and nephews.
