Cecile Swolensky

Cecile Swolensky , 95, of Bowmanstown, PA, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Lehighton, PA.  Born in Follainville-Dennemont, France, February 13, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Paul J. Lejosne and the late Marie Anne (Masse) Lejosne.  She was the wife of the late Michael S. Swolensky who passed away on June l4, 1994.  Cecile met Michael during World War II, during the Nazi's occupation of France, and returned to America to marry Michael when his tour was finished.

Cecile was a sewing machine operator for various textile mills in the Palmerton area for years before retiring.  She was a member of the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Palmerton, PA.  She was also a long time member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.

Survivors: Son, Michael J. Swolensky and wife Brenda of New Philadelphia, PA.  9 grandchildren.  13 great-grandchildren, and many great-great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by daughters, Mrs. Yvonne Duffy, and Marie-Anne Swolensky.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071, with the Rev. Michael E. Mullins officiating.  Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m., until the time of the service.  Interment will follow at Sacred Heart New Cemetery, Stoney Ridge Road, Palmerton.
