Charles "Charlie" Cebrosky , 89, of Lafayette Avenue, Palmerton, PA, passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve at St Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem.  He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret "Peggy" A. (Kacicek) Cebrosky, who left this world in 2009.  Born in Palmerton, Charlie was a cherished son of the late Yakim "Jacob" and Stephina "Stella" (Brozino) Cebrosky.

Charlie took great pride in and cherished his family.  A staple of the community, he frequently supported local businesses and was a passionate supporter of animals, generously contributing to local shelters.  He found joy in volunteering at his church, where he enjoyed making pierogies.

Charlie served as a police officer for the Borough of Palmerton for over 35 years.  Charlie was also a security guard at the Palmerton Hospital and Blue Mountain Ski Area.  He also served as an assistant to the funeral director at Campton Funeral Home in Palmerton.   A proud Palmerton VFW Post 525 member and the Palmerton Fire Police, he was always ready to lend a helping hand.

He was a member of St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Palmerton, where he enjoyed volunteering for the church pyrohy program.  A 1953 graduate of the Palmerton High School, he later served in the Air Force, achieving the rank of Sgt.  Charlie served in Vietnam and was stationed at Tuy Hoa Air Base.  Charlie was a member of the VFW Post #7135; the American Legion Post #269; both of Forest Inn, and the Palmerton Fire Police.

Charlie enjoyed reading, caring for his beloved pets, and cherished breakfast outings with his adored nephews who offered their continued support to him.

Survivors: He leaves a loving family, including his daughter, Lori Cebrosky-Smith and her husband Todd Smith of Lehighton; grandchildren Lauren and Brandon Smith (in Heaven), Todd Ferryman, and Jennifer; and three great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sister, Irene Freyman, and numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.  Charlie was predeceased by his daughter, Debra K. Mosteller; sisters, Anne Steigerwalt, Helena Nolde, and Pauline Kidd; and brothers, John, Stephen, Peter, and Michael Cebrosky.

Services: A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 2, 2025, at St. Vladimir's Lower Parish Cemetery on Fireline Road in Palmerton.  Arrangements are entrusted to Campton Funeral Home, Palmerton.  If you knew Charlie, you know he did not want a fuss; his wishes are being followed.
