Charles S. Nemeth, Sr.

Charles S. Nemeth, Sr., 88, of Hahn's Dairy Road, Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Township, Pennsylvania, died early Tuesday morning, December 22, 2020, at St. Luke's Hospital - Warren Campus, Phillipsburg, NJ.  He was the husband of the late JoAnne R. (Wolfe) Nemeth, who passed in 2012.  Born in Egypt, Whitehall Township, he was a son of the late Frank and Katie (Spaits) Nemeth.

Charlie was employed as a sheet metal fabricator for the Mack Trucks Corp., Allentown, retiring in 1998.  Previously, he was a truck driver/delivery person for the former Coca Cola Bottling Company, Palmerton.  A member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton, he served his country with honor in the Army, Vietnam Era, and achieved the rank of SP4.  Charlie was an avid sportsman and member of the Lucky 10 Sports Club, Potter County, the Palmerton Rod and Gun Club, and the Lehigh River Stocking Association.

Survivors: Sons, Charles S. Nemeth, Jr. and fiancee Marlene Frantz of Schnecksville, Michael A. and wife Lisa Nemeth, and James T. and wife Lori Nemeth, all of Palmerton.  4 grandchildren, Ashleigh, Michael, Lyndsey, and Raegan.  Sister, Catherine Schaffer of Schnecksville.  Numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by 5 sisters, and 8 brothers.
