Charles D. Stettler

Charles D. Stettler , 82 of Northampton- Allen Twsp., PA, passed away peacefully at his home with family by his side on Monday, November 11, 2024. Born March 25, 1942 in Allentown, PA, he was the son of Clarence J. Stettler and the late Dorothy I.(Medland) Stettler. He was the husband of the late Emma R. (Tomasitz) Stettler who passed away in 2004.

Charles was a 1960 graduate of Northampton Area Senior High School, who went on to join and run his family's roofing business as a third generation roofer with Stettler Roofing, Northampton for 43 years before retiring in 2018. Charles enjoyed Scuba diving with the Allentown Y.M.C.A. Divers and the times he dove on underwater wrecks and the traveling that went along with his diving. He was the contractor, with helpers who built the great wall of Kreidersville, PA. He served his country as a 101st Screaming Eagle Paratrooper in the US Army from 1960 to 1963.

He is survived  by his daughter, Pamela R. wife of Stephen Csencsits of Northampton, PA, brother, Donald Stettler of Newark, DE, sister, Carolyn wife of Ronald Milisits of New Tripoli, PA; A grandson; Trevor Pelaez, and two great-grandchildren, Serenity and Carter along with nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday November 19, 2024 at Schisler Funeral Home, located at 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, Pennsylvania 18067 with the Fr. Matthew Hummel officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to services. Interment with military honors will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Northampton, PA.
