It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Christie Bisschop , 47, of Pennsburg, PA, on January 31, 2025, as a result of a tragic accident along with her loving husband, Aaron.

Christie was born in Palmerton, PA, on August 10, 1977, and she was the beloved daughter of Kay Frey (David) and Richard Kost.  She is survived by her daughter, Emilya Hawkins, who she cherished and her beloved stepson, Reece Bisschop.  She is also survived by her forever friend, sister, Keri Purvis (Malcolm); uncle, Bradford Cupples and her aunt, Deanna Weaver (Gary).  Also, cousins, Michael and Matt Cupples and Godmother, Darlene Kleintop and her sweet cat, Harriet.  She was predeceased by her grandparents, Robert and Shirley Ruch, and Nicholas and Helen Kost, and her loving Auntie Robin.

Christie was a 1995 graduate of the Palmerton High School and Lehigh County Community College.  She was employed as a Certified Opthalmic Assistant at Mid Atlantic Retina in Lansdale for 18 years, where she was head tech.

Christie and Aaron were avid travelers, visiting amusement parks and riding roller coasters, and visiting their two favorite destinations, Disney World and Iceland.

Services: Public Memorial Service, 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 17, 2025, St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2915 Fireline Road (PO Box 2915), Palmerton, PA 18071.  Interment will follow at Towamensing Cemetery, Palmerton.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Dreamlifts - Sunshine Foundation, 101 Lakeside Park, Southampton, PA 18966.  Online Contributions: https://sunshinefoundation.org/dreamlifts.
