Christina "Carol" Connolly

Christina "Carol" Connolly, 80 of Walnutport, went home to the Lord, on November 30, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Salisbury Township.

Born March 13, 1941 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur N. and Christina (Nickas) Romer. She and her husband, Martin A. Connolly were married on March 15, 1969.

Carol spent her life serving others, she opened her doors to any person who needed shelter or a hot meal. She loved to volunteer at the Northern Lehigh Food Bank and considered this her job. She could point to a Bible verse for any problem you were going through, and was always available to listen. She was selfless and would give you her last dollar if she knew you needed it. She was deeply devoted to her family and was truly loved by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Matthew Hopkins of Milltown, NJ and Marty Connolly and wife Dorothy of Walnutport, daughters, Christy wife of Peter Kady of Jamesburg, NJ and Beth Anne Connolly of Haines City, FL, sister, Hope wife of Adam Tarnowski of Princeton, NJ, grandchildren, Jason, Justin, Sara, Ashley, Caitlin, Ashley, Nicole, Danielle, Noah, and Benjamin, and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by son, Robert Hopkins, and sister, Margo Johnson.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by an 11:00 AM funeral service, all on Monday, December 6, 2021, at the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, Pennsylvania 18067. If you wish, those attending may bring in a food item to be donated to the Northern Lehigh Food Bank.

Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Northampton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Northern Lehigh Food Bank in care of the funeral home.
