Christopher William Mayer, Sr.,
62, of Andreas, West Penn Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, died Sunday afternoon, November 12, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Born in Mineola, Nassau County, Long Island, New York, he was the son of John C. Mayer of Tamaqua, and the late Doris (Luttge) van Nostrand.
Christopher was employed as an LPN at the Praxis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Easton. Later, he worked for various private practices in the same capacity. Christopher enjoyed history, especially collecting items and relics from World War II, and the American Civil War. He enjoyed classic cars, and especially liked working on them.

Father, John. Daughters, Victoria A. Mayer of Washington D.C., Hillary E. Mayer of Conshohocken. Son, Christopher W. Mayer, Jr. of Bangor. Sisters, Melissa Mayer of Jonas, Diane wife of Robert Sniffen of Bayville, Long Island, New York. Brother, Arthur W. and wife Sharon van Nostrand of North Port, Long Island, New York. Uncle, Ronald and wife Joan Luttge of Meridian, Idaho. Beloved dog, Jenny, aka Red Dog.
