Clair W. Fatzinger, Jr., 81, of Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Twp, died suddenly Wednesday evening, Dec 12, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem, after being involved in an accident early that morning. He was the husband of Glennette J. (Holecz) Fatzinger since Oct 28, 1989. Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Clair W., Sr. and Ruth E. (Williams) Fatzinger.
Clair was employed as a bus mechanic for Lehigh Valley Transit, Allentown. Previously, he was employed in the security dept of the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. A 1955 graduate of the Palmerton High School, he later served in the Navy and Naval Reserve, Norfolk, VA, Korea Era, and achieved rank of SR. Clair was an avid golfer and longtime member of Blue Shamrock Country Club, formerly, Blue Ridge CC, Palmerton. He was member of the Palmerton Hungarian Club, and life member of the Bowmanstown Rod and Gun Club.
Survivors: wife. daughter, Susan Uhnak of Palmerton. sons, Mark Fatzinger of Palmerton, Jeffrey Blose of Lehighton. step children, Colleen wife of Jeffrey Miller, Dean and wife Bonnie Sacks, all of Bethlehem, Scott and Lori Sacks of Palmerton. grandchildren and great grandchild. brothers, Drew of Slatington, Gary and wife Jeanie of Danielsville. several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son, Kelly in 2016.
