Clayton E. Rex , 80, of Rock Street, Lehighton, Franklin Township, PA, died peacefully early Tuesday morning, March 29, 2022, in his home. He was the husband of Nancy J. (Solt) Rex since June 24, 1961. Born in Coaldale, Schuylkill County, he was a son of the late Edwin and Lulu (Reichard) Rex.
Clayton was employed as a welder/fitter/burner for the Kovatch Corp., Nesquehoning, retiring in 2005. Previously he worked in the same capacity for the Bethlehem Fabricators and Steel Structural Co., Bethlehem. Clayton was a life member of both Lehighton Volunteer Fire Co., and Beaver Run Rod and Gun Club, Lehighton.
Survivors: Wife. Daughters, Shelly wife of Charles Kurdziel, and Jody wife of David Cressley, all of Lehighton. Sons, Kevin and wife Debbie, Jeffrey and wife Michelle, and Scott and wife LeAnn, all of Lehighton. 9 grandchildren. 8 great-grandchildren. Sister, Dolores Stuckley and fiance Daniel Sebelin of Lehighton. Nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Bernetta Ginder, MaryAnn Moyer, and 2 infant brothers.
