Constance P. Meckes , 79 of Whitehall, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Parkland Manor in Allentown, PA. Born May 8, 1946 in Bethlehem, PA, she was the daughter of the late Bernard Salmon, Sr. and the late Paula (Pechacek) Salmon. She was the wife of Robert Meckes with whom she shared 57 years of marriage this May 25, 2025.
Constance was last employed as an Assembler for B. Braun Medical, Inc., Allentown, PA for 28 years before retiring in 2020. Connie was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall, PA. In her past time she enjoyed playing bingo, spending time at the 2nd home in the Poconos, attending basket socials, going to the Casino's, and attending her grandsons' sporting events.
Surviving along with her husband Robert are daughters, Donna Doyne and husband John of Northampton, PA, Diana Dergham and husband Scott of Slatington, PA; sister, Diane Kratzer and husband Paul of Northampton, PA. two grandsons, Blake and Callen Dergham. She was predeceased by her brothers, Bernard, Jr., Frank, and Antonio (David) Salmon.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday September 23, 2025 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067. The Family will receive family and friends from 9:00 AM until time of service. Interment will follow in the St. John the Baptist Cemetery- Stiles, Whitehall, PA.
The Meckes family would like to extend their deep appreciation to the Family Pillars Hospice Team, and the Parkland Manor Staff, for the love and care provided over the last year to their wife, mother, and grandmother during this difficult time.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the VFW Auxiliary Post # 7293, 5209 Springmill Road, Whitehall, PA 18052 in loving memory of Connie. All contributions will be donated towards the Auxiliary's goal of naming their 3rd service dog with the Tails of Valor.
