Daniel D. Minnich

Daniel D. Minnich, 55 of Laurys Station, PA. died Thursday, December 29, 2016, at University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. Born November 4, 1961 in Palmerton, he was the son of the late Daniel and Elia (Vasilawsky) Minnich. He was the husband of Pamela S. (Schnell) Minnich, with whom he shared 28 years of marriage this past May 14, 2016.
Dan was a graduate of Palmerton High School and the former Breeden School of Welding, Allentown. He went on to work as a welder for Electro-Space Fabricators, Topton, PA. for 28 years before retiring. He attended services at St. Paul's U.C.C. Ch.- Big Creek, Lehighton, PA. Dan always enjoyed photography, and after Electro-Space Fabricators, he became a self-employed photographer offering his services to the community. He enjoyed Skiing and was a Ski Instructor as well as the Race Team Coach at Blue Mountain Ski Area, Palmerton for many years. More recently, you would find him in the Tuning Shop. Dan was a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians.
He enjoyed sports, and for many years, played men's slow-pitch softball for N. Whitehall Township, and was the former coach of Youth Lacrosse for the Schnecksville Playground Assoc.
Surviving along with his wife Pamela are son, Daniel Minnich, III of Laurys Station, PA, sister, Ms. Kim Cooley of Wayne, PA.; In-laws: Mr. & Mrs. Erwin Schnell, Palmerton, PA.; sister-in-laws; Wanda wife of Barry Crown, Stroudsburg, PA.; Susan wife or Barry Eckhart, Laurys Station; Brother-in- laws; Glen and wife Diane Schnell, Bowmanstown, Aaron and wife Jean Schnell, Lehighton, PA.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday January 7, 2017 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue Northampton, PA. 18067. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM prior to the services. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
