Darlene A. Scherer

Darlene A. Scherer , 72, of N. 7th Street, Lehighton, PA, died peacefully early Friday morning, March 14, 2025, at Rosewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Schuylkill Haven, Manheim Township.  Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late LeRoy C. Frohnheiser and Minnie E. (Meinhart) Scherer.

Darlene was a member of the ARC Program, Lehighton, and participated in the assembly department of Carbon County Training Center, Beaver Meadows, for several years.  She was a member of Faith Alive Church, Palmerton, and the Lehighton Drop-In Center.

Survivors: Sisters, Lorraine K. wife of Imre Bognar, Carol Hofacker, Diane wife of Walter Smith, and Patricia wife of Roger H. George, all of Lehighton.  Brothers, LeRoy Scherer of Palmerton, and Maynard and wife Carolyn Scherer of E. Penn Township.  Numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by brothers, James Scherer, and Dale Scherer, sisters-in-law, Beverly (Kleinschmidt) Scherer, Sandra (Goodhile) Scherer, and brothers-in-law, John Hofacker, and Larry Allen.

Services: Memorial Services, 12Noon, Friday, March 28, 2025, Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Call, 11:00a.m.-12noon, Friday, in the funeral home.  Interment, Towamensing Cemetery, 3rd Street and Fireline Road, Palmerton.  Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
